Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
The Nutritional Pathology Institute (NPI), Dr. Brandon Lundell, D.C., and Harmony Healing Center are committed to making our website and educational programs accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
We believe that continuing education should be available to every licensed healthcare professional who wants it. If you encounter any barrier on our site or within our courses, we want to hear about it and we will work to fix it.
This statement describes our current accessibility status, the standard we are working toward, the known limitations on our platform, and how to contact us if you need help.
Conformance Status
Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility and forms the basis of accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
Current status: Partially conformant
We meet many WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements, but some areas of our platform and content do not yet fully conform.
Known limitations are described in detail below. We are actively working to address them.
"Partially conformant" means that some content does not fully conform to the accessibility standard. This is an honest assessment — we believe transparency about current gaps is more useful to you than an unqualified claim of full compliance.
What We Have Done
The following accessibility features are currently in place across our website and learning platform:
Website and Platform
Page content uses a clear heading structure to help screen readers and keyboard users navigate
Images used in course materials and web pages include descriptive alternative text
All pages use HTTPS and encrypted connections for secure access
The site is designed to be responsive and readable across devices, including mobile and tablet
We do not use auto-playing audio or video that cannot be stopped by the user
Links are written to be descriptive of their destination, not generic labels like "click here"
Video and Course Content
Captions are available on recorded course videos. We review auto-generated captions for accuracy, with particular attention to clinical and scientific terminology, before publishing
Interactive transcripts are enabled in our learning platform, allowing users to read, search, and navigate course content by text
Where course materials rely on visual diagrams or slide content, we work to ensure that key information is also communicated verbally in the narration
Downloadable course materials are provided in formats that support screen reader access where possible
Live Events — Webinars and Seminars
We provide advance notice of live event formats and materials where possible
During live webinars, presenters verbally describe on-screen content including slide text, diagrams, and charts
Recordings of live events are captioned before being made available for purchase
Participants who need accommodations for live events are encouraged to contact us in advance — see the Contact section below
Known Limitations
We want to be direct about the areas where our platform does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. These limitations fall into two categories: areas within our direct control that we are actively working on, and areas tied to our platform provider (LearnWorlds) that require platform-level fixes.
Limitations Within Our Control — Being Actively Addressed
Caption accuracy on older recordings: Under review. We are auditing existing recorded content and updating captions where accuracy is below standard.
Audio descriptions for visually dense content: In progress. For recordings that contain complex diagrams or visual-only information not described verbally, we are adding audio description tracks or supplementary text descriptions.
Color contrast on certain page elements: Under review. Some decorative and secondary text elements on course pages may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required by WCAG 2.2 SC 1.4.3.
PDF and downloadable document accessibility: In progress. Some downloadable materials are not fully tagged for screen reader access. We are working through the document library to address this.
Platform-Level Limitations — LearnWorlds
Our learning platform is powered by LearnWorlds. Some accessibility limitations are inherent to the platform itself and are not fully within our control. We have reported these issues to LearnWorlds and are monitoring their development roadmap for resolution.
Keyboard navigation: Some interactive elements within course pages may not be fully reachable using keyboard navigation alone. Users who rely exclusively on keyboard access may experience difficulty with certain course navigation controls.
Zoom restrictions: The platform's mobile viewport settings may limit text scaling on some devices. We have requested that LearnWorlds address this in a future platform update.
Third-party embeds: Some content embedded from third parties — including Zoom registration links and video hosting platforms — may not meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We do not control the accessibility of third-party embedded content.
We do not use accessibility overlay tools (such as accessiBe or similar products) as a substitute for genuine accessibility improvements. Research and accessibility professionals' guidance consistently indicates that overlays do not reliably resolve underlying accessibility barriers and can interfere with assistive technologies. Our approach is to address issues at the source.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
We have tested our site and course platform with the following browser and assistive technology combinations:
Chrome (latest) with NVDA on Windows
Safari (latest) with VoiceOver on macOS
Chrome (latest) with TalkBack on Android
Safari (latest) with VoiceOver on iOS
We aim to support assistive technologies that are compatible with modern browser standards. If you use a different combination and encounter issues, please let us know — your feedback directly informs our improvement priorities.
Requesting Accommodations
If you need an accommodation to access any part of our website or educational programs — including alternative formats for course materials, captioning support for live events, or other assistance — please contact us before the event or program begins so we have time to prepare.
We will make every reasonable effort to provide the access you need. Where a specific request is not technically feasible, we will work with you to find an alternative that meets your needs.

Our Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We take the following ongoing steps to maintain and improve accessibility across our platform and content:
Annual review of this accessibility statement against current WCAG guidelines and platform changes
Caption review for all new video content before publication
Accessibility testing when we add new features or significantly update existing pages
Monitoring of LearnWorlds platform updates for resolution of known platform-level issues
Consideration of accessibility requirements when evaluating third-party tools and integrations
This statement will be updated whenever our accessibility status changes in a material way. The "Last reviewed" date at the top reflects when this statement was most recently evaluated against our current platform and content.
Legal Framework
NPI's accessibility efforts are guided by the following legal framework and standards:
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III: As a private business providing educational services to the public, NPI is subject to Title III's requirement that goods and services be accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA: The internationally recognized technical standard for web accessibility, referenced by US courts and regulatory guidance as the de facto benchmark for private business website compliance.
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act: Although Section 508 applies primarily to federal government technology procurement, NPI uses it as an additional reference for accessible content practices.
European Accessibility Act (EAA): The EAA, effective June 28, 2025, applies to businesses providing services to consumers in the EU. NPI's primary audience is US-based healthcare professionals. To the extent EU visitors access our platform, our WCAG 2.2 Level AA target satisfies EAA technical requirements.
This accessibility statement was last reviewed in March 2026. NPI commits to reviewing and updating it at least annually and whenever material changes are made to the website or platform.
