1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in, your session preferences, or items in a cart — so the site functions correctly.
Cookies are set either by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services that the website uses, such as payment processors or analytics platforms ("third-party cookies").
In addition to cookies, websites may use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels. This policy covers all such technologies.
2. How NPI Uses Cookies
We use cookies only where they are necessary for the operation of our website and learning platform. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, track your behavior across other websites, or identify you for marketing purposes.
Our cookie use falls into two categories:
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website and learning platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, access your courses, or complete a purchase. Because they are essential, they do not require your consent under applicable law.
Strictly necessary cookies on our platform include:
__lw_session
Type: Session
Purpose: Maintains your authenticated login session on the LearnWorlds platform. Expires when you close your browser.
Duration: Session
Provider: LearnWorlds
__lw_remember
Type: Persistent
Purpose: Keeps you logged in if you select "Remember me" at login.
Duration: 30 days
Provider: LearnWorlds
__stripe_mid
Type: Persistent
Purpose: Used by Stripe for fraud prevention and to associate payment sessions with your device.
Duration: 1 year
Provider: Stripe, Inc.
__stripe_sid
Type: Session
Purpose: Used by Stripe to associate your browser session with a payment transaction.
Duration: Session
Provider: Stripe, Inc.
XSRF-TOKEN / CSRF
Type: Session
Purpose: Security token that protects against cross-site request forgery attacks.
Duration: Session
Provider: LearnWorlds
Note: Specific cookie names may vary depending on platform updates. The categories and purposes described above are accurate. We will update this table when cookie names change materially.
2.2 Analytics Cookies (Not Currently Active)
We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics tools in the future — for example, Google Analytics — we will:
Update this Cookie Policy before activating any analytics cookies
Implement a cookie consent mechanism that gives EU/EEA visitors a genuine choice before any analytics cookies are set
Ensure that analytics cookies are not set until consent is given, where consent is required
Provide an equally easy way to decline as to accept
We will not activate analytics until these steps are complete.
2.3 Marketing and Advertising Cookies
We do not use marketing, advertising, or retargeting cookies. We do not place Meta (Facebook) pixels, Google Ads tags, or any similar tracking tools on our website. If this changes, this policy will be updated and appropriate consent will be obtained.
2.4 Third-Party Embedded Content
Some pages may embed content from third-party services such as Zoom (for webinar registration links) or video hosting platforms. These third parties may set their own cookies when you interact with embedded content. We do not control those cookies. Please refer to the privacy and cookie policies of those third parties for more information.
3. Cookie Duration
Cookies are either "session" cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. The duration of each cookie we use is noted in the table in Section 2.1.
4. Your Cookie Choices
4.1 Browser Settings
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Instructions vary by browser:
Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Please be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging into your account and accessing course materials. NPI cannot be responsible for platform functionality issues caused by cookie blocking.
4.2 EU/EEA Visitors — Consent
If you are visiting from the European Union or European Economic Area, you will be presented with a cookie consent notice when you first visit our site. Because we currently use only strictly necessary cookies, no opt-in consent is required at this time. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, the consent banner will be updated to give you a clear choice before any such cookies are set.
You have the right to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
4.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because we do not currently use tracking or analytics cookies, this signal has no additional effect on our cookie practices. We will reassess this when analytics tools are introduced.
5. A Note on Stripe Payment Cookies
Stripe, Inc. is our payment processor. When you visit pages on our site that load Stripe's scripts — which may include any page, not just checkout — Stripe may set fraud-prevention cookies on your device. These cookies are used by Stripe to assess the risk of fraudulent transactions and are considered strictly necessary for secure payment processing.
Stripe's cookie and data practices are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. NPI recommends reviewing Stripe's policy for full details on how Stripe uses data it collects.
We periodically audit which pages load Stripe's scripts to minimize unnecessary cookie exposure. If you have questions about Stripe cookie activity on a specific page, please contact us.
6. LearnWorlds Platform Cookies
Our learning platform is powered by LearnWorlds, a learning management system registered in Cyprus. LearnWorlds sets cookies necessary for platform operation, including session management and security. LearnWorlds processes data in accordance with GDPR and maintains Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers.
For details on LearnWorlds' data practices, see the LearnWorlds Privacy Policy at learnworlds.com/privacy-policy.
7. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever our cookie practices change in a material way — including if we add analytics, change platform providers, or introduce new third-party integrations. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
For changes that introduce non-essential cookies, we will update the policy and consent mechanism before the new cookies are activated, not after.
