The Problem with FM Education

You might not have a knowledge problem. You may have a guidance problem.

Maybe you've taken FM courses, read the research, and listened to the podcasts. You understand the concepts. But when a complex patient sits down across from you, you hesitate.

That hesitation isn't a sign you haven't learned enough. It's a sign you haven't had the chance to apply what you know alongside someone who's already worked through those same decisions — and made the mistakes so you don't have to.

Information and mentorship are different things. Most FM education gives you the former and skips the latter entirely.

Some programs oversimplify it: follow this protocol, get these results. Others go deep on theory but leave you to figure out implementation on your own — how to select the right labs, how to build a treatment plan for the patient in front of you, how to run a practice that's actually sustainable.

Neither approach gives you what a mentor gives you: someone who can look at your specific case, your specific practice, and tell you exactly what they'd do.

That's what this program is.

Here's what the
mentorship looks like.

Most FM education is one-directional — someone teaches, you absorb. This is different. The mentorship is built around direct interaction: your cases, your questions, your practice. Dr. Lundell, DC is still in clinic every week, which means what he brings to each session is current. The format is deliberately small. 16 practitioners per cohort, so you get real access, not a seat in a crowd.

Bi-Weekly Group Sessions

Dr. Lundell, DC brings a lesson, case study or recent patient experience to share with the group. There is plenty of opportunity for Q&A or for a hot seat session.

Real patient lab review during a group session.

One-on-one sessions are one of the most powerful – and popular – parts of the mentorship.

Private Coaching Sessions

Each month, connect with Dr. Lundell, DC one-on-one, and get your questions answered directly. From patient care to managing your practice, nothing is off limits.

You'll get 6 private sessions over the course of the mentorship.
What we'll cover

Six months of clinical and practice education, built around your questions.

Navigating Labs

Which tests to run, why, and what to do with the results. Labs are only useful when you know how to read them in context — and when to order them in the first place.

Reviewing Tough Cases

Bring the patients you're unsure about. Work through them in real time with a clinician who has seen it before.

Clinical Processes

Improve your effectiveness and efficiency as a clinician so you earn more and avoid burnout.

Practice Management

You’ll learn strategies and tactics to make running your practice smooth. Everything from training great staff, making SOP’s and more.

Build a Practice That Works for You

Dr. Lundell, DC runs a waiting-list practice — not because he chased growth, but because he built something sustainable. You'll learn what that looks like in practice and how to apply the same principles to your own situation.

"It's not about knowing everything. It's about having the confidence in what you do know to help your patients heal."

– Dr. Brandon Lundell, DC

WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for licensed practitioners who are ready to do the work.

Most practitioners who join the mentorship are somewhere in the middle — they've done some FM training, they understand the fundamentals, but they haven't fully committed to integrating it into practice.

Some are brand new to functional medicine and want to build the right foundation from the start.

Others have been practicing FM for years and want a more systematic, clinically grounded approach; or simply want to infuse fresh energy into their practice. What they have in common: they're done learning in isolation.

Meet Dr. Brandon Lundell, DC

I've been in clinical practice for over 20 years, and I still see patients every week

A lot of functional medicine education is taught by people who left clinical practice to become educators. I understand why — it's a different kind of work. But it means what they're teaching you is increasingly theoretical. When I bring a case to a group session, it's often from a recent patient.

I started teaching FM 15 years ago because I kept seeing the same pattern: smart, well-trained practitioners who understood the concepts but couldn't make them work in practice. Not because they hadn't studied enough — but because nobody had ever shown them how to think through a complex case, build a sustainable patient relationship, or run a practice that didn't burn them out.

That's what I teach. I call it slow medicine — systematic, patient, built on clinical reasoning rather than protocol-chasing. It's the opposite of the fast-food approach that's become common in both conventional and functional medicine.

If that's the kind of practitioner you want to become, I'd like to work with you.

Hear From Past Participants

“As a practitioner coming from random knowledge in the FM realm, what I have learned here in this mentorship is how to do FM CORRECTLY, and this foundation although I am still VERY new at it is a core foundation that every FM provider should have. I would encourage anyone wanting to learn FM, learn it correctly, and to learn it in depth to learn from Dr. Lundell.”
Holly Green, LAC
“I’ve been taking Dr. Lundell’s mentorship program as well as the Nutritional Pathology Course. Out of all the classes that I’ve taken in the past, this training was the most detailed….I’ve learned the most out of all the courses that I have taken, and I’ve been in the Functional Medicine field for the past 10 years. I’m really grateful to Dr. Lundell for providing such a detailed course, and I’m looking forward learning more from him.”
Dr. Natalya Fazylova
“My practice has grown. I’m seeing more people and helping them get healthier while at the same time not wearing myself out – and I’m making a profit.”
Keith Currie
“The mentorship helped shape more of where my practice is today and I can’t wait to continue that growth and learn more in the FM realm.”
dr. Julie Gurbacki, DC
